MUMBAI: This weekend, three of Bollywood’s releases ‘Issaq’, ‘Bajatey Raho’ and ‘Nasha’ fared poorly at the ticketing windows.
The opening weekend figure for ‘Bajatey Raho’, which is directed by
Shashant Shah and stars Tusshar Kapoor, Ravi Kishan, Dolly Ahluwalia,
and Vinay Pathak, was a bleak Rs 49.3 million (rs 4.93 crore) net.
‘Issaq’ too had a bleak opening, with the Prateik Babbar-Amyra Dastur
starrer generating approximately Rs 31 million (rs 3.10 crore) net in
its first three days. The Manish Tiwary directorial was a middling
performer last weekend.
Finally, Poonam Pandey starrer controversial film ‘Nasha’, directed
by Amit Saxena, saw a poor opening weekend, with collections at just
about Rs 27.7 million (Rs 2.77 crore) net.
