Why Farhan Akhtar maintaining silence on Jiah Khan Case?

Ever since it has been revealed through late Bollywood actress Jiah Nafisa Khan's suicide letter that she was raped and tortured, people are shocked. While Mumbai police took a quick action and began to trace Suraj Pancholi, raided his home, arrested, et al, many Bollywood bigwigs have maintained silence on this issue.

If Bollywood stood firm to support the campaign against rape and discrimination, why are they quiet now and not raising their voice? It was Farhan Akhtar who initiated this campaign, and promoted it. Now, questions are being thrown right in his face as to why is he maintaining silence on Jiah's rape issue and not taking a step against Suraj?

Men Against Rape and Discrimination or MARD is a 2013 social campaign launched by filmmaker and actor Farhan Akhtar. The term MARD (meaning ‘Man’) has been used in the short form of the campaign name. The campaign aims to raise social awareness against rape and discrimination of women. Ever since this campaign was launched, iyt gained popularity on several social networking sites and received positive feedback from many of the top Bollywood actors – Shah Rukh Khan, Hrithik Roshan, Priyanka Chopra, Arjun Rampal, etc.
